At We Wear Guay, we’re committed to reshaping the fashion industry into something more positive, ethical, and environmentally responsible. Every piece is handmade in small batches or made-to-order, allowing us to minimize waste and avoid overproduction. We believe sustainability lives in the details — from the textiles we source in France and Italy, where labor and environmental standards are meaningfully upheld, to the conscious choices we make at every stage of production. Our fabrics aren’t just high quality — they’re clean, in the sense that no one’s life or landscape is being harmed in the process. More than a brand, We Wear Guay is a movement: a contribution to a better fashion system and a call to conscious consumption. We hope to leave an imprint — not just on clothing, but on culture.

I'm Isabella Guay — a young woman in my twenties, a lifelong maker, and the founder of We Wear Guay. I’ve been sewing since I was nine years old, and it has always been more than just a skill — it’s a grounding, creative practice that feels essential to who I am.
As a student at Parsons School of Design, studying Strategic Design & Management and Fashion Communication, I found myself increasingly disheartened by the realities of the fashion industry — its exploitation of people, its environmental harm, and its relentless overproduction. The more I learned, the more I felt called to create something different.
We Wear Guay is my response — a brand built on ethics, intentionality, and care. It’s my contribution to the growing movement toward a more responsible fashion future. Every piece I create is made by hand, in small quantities or made-to-order, with high-quality textiles sourced from France and Italy, where regulations ensure greater environmental and human well-being.
This brand is a love letter to craftsmanship, to slow fashion, and to a future where creativity and conscience go hand in hand. I’m so excited to share this piece of myself with you.

At We Wear Guay, sustainability isn’t a buzzword — it’s a foundational value. In today’s fashion industry, the term sustainable is often used loosely, treated as a trend rather than a true commitment. But sustainability is not a one-size-fits-all concept. It’s a collection of conscious choices — small, intentional practices that, together, create meaningful impact.
We approach sustainability through multiple touchpoints, starting with our materials. All of our textiles are sourced exclusively from France and Italy — two countries with stronger environmental and labor regulations compared to many manufacturing hubs. These laws enforce stricter controls on chemical use, water treatment, and worker protections, resulting in cleaner, safer, and more ethical textile production.
We also avoid plastic wherever possible, including in the small details. We avoid plasti buttons and we use 100% cotton thread — a natural fiber that’s biodegradable and less harmful than synthetic alternatives. Every element, from fabric to finishings, is chosen with care.
We produce everything in extremely small batches or on a made-to-order basis to avoid overproduction and waste — one of the fashion industry's biggest issues. Even our tags are made from recycled, unbleached muslin and hand-printed in-house, aligning with our low-impact philosophy.
At We Wear Guay, we understand that true sustainability is multifaceted. It’s not about perfection — it’s about responsibility, transparency, and doing the best we can at every step. Our goal is to build a brand that not only minimizes harm, but also contributes to a fashion future that’s more mindful, ethical, and human.
